Kayak and Canoe Rentals on Billington Sea
Enjoy a few hours or a full day kayaking or canoeing on one of Plymouth’s largest ponds (269 acres). Billington Sea, with a shoreline of 5.5 miles, is a shallow pond (maximum depth of 11’) that is noted for its largemouth bass and pickerel fishing, and frequent sightings of blue heron, osprey, red tail hawks, kingfishers, swans, ducks and occasional bald eagles. There are several coves to paddle into and around that make for an interesting time. Morton Park, a town-owned public park, fronts on approximately 1/3 of the shoreline. Bring a lunch and stop during your paddle to eat on Seymour’s Island. Fishing on Billington Sea requires a MA State fishing license.
Rentals and their use are only available during shop hours. Fees include boat, paddles, and PFD’s (Personal Flotation Device - which must be worn and zipped up). Children under sixteen must be accompanied by an authorized adult. Group rates are available. Call for more information.
